||
|
Dear Resident You are receiving this message because you live in the vicinity of an attempt burglary that occurred on Clayton Road on Wednesday 15th April between 0100hrs and 1000hrs. Attempts were made to force entry including attempts via rear doors and kitchen windows. If you have CCTV, a doorbell camera, or any other video recording equipment, we would ask that you please check for any activations between 0100hrs and 1000hrs Any footage may assist police enquiries. If you have a cylinder lock (commonly fitted to uPVC or composite doors), please take a moment to check that it is secure and correctly fitted. We recommend locks that are 3‑star rated, marked TS007 or SS312, as these provide enhanced protection against lock snapping. These anti‑snap locks are widely available through many locksmiths. While we do not wish to cause concern, we encourage residents to review their home security arrangements and to report any suspicious behaviour to the police. If you have any information relating to either incident, please contact the police on 101. Thank you for your cooperation.
